CoreBond Super 91

CoreBond Super 91 is a very strong adhesive consisting of cement, polymer adhesive, silica sand and quartz particles. This adhesive increases adhesion between materials such as ceramics, porcelain, mosaics, floors and walls. It is especially suitable for surfaces such as concrete, cement plaster, mortar, ceramic/tile, and brick.

CoreBond Super 91 is an adhesive material containing cement, polymer binder, silica sand and quartz agglomerate particles which work together to increase adhesion and strong bonds between the adhesive material and ceramics or other materials.

CoreBond Super 91 is suitable for bonding various materials commonly used in building construction, such as porcelain ceramics, mosaics, floors and walls.

CoreBond Super 91 can be used on various surfaces such as concrete, cement plaster, cement mortar, ceramics/tiles, and brick. Apart from that, the application of CoreBond Super 91 is very easy, has a fairly good opening time before drying, is slip resistant and water resistant, making it an excellent choice for construction applications that require strong and long-lasting adhesion.

CoreBond Super 91 has the following advantages:

CoreBond Super 91 is suitable for application in the following areas:

  • Indoor and outdoor areas.
  • Wet areas, such as: kitchen and bathroom.
  • Swimming pool.
  • Repairing marble tiles.
  • Repairing heavy elements eg brick slips & concrete tiles.
  • Bridges, underpasses and multi-storey buildings.
  • The foundation layer or outer structure.

Before the applicator team starts applying the CoreBond Super 91 product, make sure you prepare the surface or substrate as follows:

  • Make sure the concrete has completely hardened and been mechanically scraped before installing the tiles.
  • Make sure that the surface (substrate) is free from oil, grease, hardeners and other foreign particles. Clean by brushing or vacuuming before using CoreBond Super 91.
  • Maximum variation in surface level: 5mm for floors, 4mm for walls.
  • Substrates containing cement must be aged for at least 1 month, all coated surfaces must be allowed to harden completely 7 days before use of the tile work.
  • If there is damage to the cement-containing substrate, it must be repaired, then allow a waiting time of 24-48 hours before installing the ceramic.
  • The recommended thickness of fiber cement sheet is 9mm for high heavy duty floors and 6mm for walls or floors.
  • The recommended compressed fiber sheet is 15mm for floors and 10mm for walls.
  • The recommended thickness of gypsum plasterboard sheets is 10 mm.
